Blue Mountains-based brewery Mountain Culture has gone back-to-back at the GABS Hottest 100. The Status Quo Pale Ale has been crowned the top Aussie craft beer for 2023.

Mountain Culture Beer Co’s Status Quo Pale Ale taken out the top spot for the second year in a row at the GABS Hottest 100 Craft Aussie Beers.

The Status Quo beat out more than 1870 different beers across 436 of Australian craft breweries to be crowned the winner, with 63 different breweries represented across the top 100.

The Blue Mountains brewery has risen to fame in a short time, after being founded in 2019 by husband-and-wife duo DJ and Harriet McCready.

GABS top three winnersMountain Culture Beer Co’s Status Quo Pale Ale, Balter Brewing's XPA Pale Ale and BentSpoke Brewing Co's Crankshaft IPA are the top three Aussie craft beers of the year.
