In 2025 the Halliday Cup is heading to King Island! As you gather for the holidays with your loved ones, it's the perfect time to plan your King Island golf trip. Join us in Tasmania from May 16–18 for a weekend of golf, highly-rated wine and great food.

Your King Island itinerary
Friday
Join us for welcome drinks after you’ve checked in and enjoy Halliday-rated wines and a gourmet BBQ while you meet the Halliday Cup 2025 group.
Saturday morning
Make the most of on-site accommodation with an early tee time. Experience one of Australia’s most spectacular coastal golf courses, Cape Wickham, where you’ll enjoy 18-holes as part of the Halliday Cup.
Plus, guests staying at Cape Wickham will also have the opportunity to play all day and enjoy access to Cape Wickham’s twelve-hole putting green known as the ‘Lighthouse Loop‘.
Saturday evening
In the evening, join us for a taste of Tasmania at the Cape Wickham club house. Enjoy canapés and exceptional Tasmanian sparkling on arrival, followed by a three-course dinner and wine masterclass featuring eight+ outstanding Tasmanian wines, hosted by a Halliday expert. All just a short distance from your accommodation.

Sunday
Enjoy breakfast at Cape Wickham before we make our way to another one of King Island’s outstanding courses, Ocean Dunes.
Play 18-holes at Ocean Dunes, with lunch included.
Enjoy post-match drinks before saying goodbye to the group. As we’re conscious of flight times, Halliday Cup winners will be announced via email on Monday, 19 May.
A more detailed schedule, including key timings, will be provided closer to the date. There will opportunities to explore the island at your own pace and for non-golfers, we will look to arrange a group trip (TBC depending on numbers). Golf carts are available at both courses. Please email golf@winecompanion.com.au and we can book for you. You'll arrive in King Island at Cape Wickham on Friday May 16. After checking in, and settling in, join us for welcome drinks where you'll meet the Halliday Cup 2025 group (be sure to size up the competition), and enjoy a barbecue.

You'll spend the weekend on the picturesque King Island. Situated in Bass Straight between Victoria and Tasmania, King Island is a golf-lover's paradise. It's home to Cape Wickham and Ocean Dunes – two of Australia’s top courses that are ranked among the best in the world.Spend the weekend playing golf on the iconic Cape Wickham and Ocean Dunes courses.

You'll stay in one of Cape Wickham's 16 villa-style rooms, with unparalleled views across the golf links and the Cape Wickham Lighthouse in the distance. Take in the ocean view from your private deck and indulge in the amenities available to guests.Twin rooms include two separate beds, an ensuite bathroom, LCD television, air conditioning and heating, a private deck and modern hotel conveniences.
