The first release of Wild Duck Creek Estate from the 1991 vintage marked the end of 12 years of effort by David and Diana Anderson. They began planting the 4.5-ha vineyard in 1980, made their first tiny quantities of wine in ’86, the first commercial quantities of wine in ’91, and built their winery and cellar door facility in ’93. Exports to the US (where Duck Muck has become a cult wine), the UK and other major markets.
