The Eldridge Estate vineyard was purchased by Wendy and David Lloyd in 1995. Major retrellising work has been undertaken, changing to Scott Henry, and all the wines are estate- grown and made. David has also planted several Dijon-selected pinot noir clones (114, 115 and 777) which have been contributing since 2004, likewise the Dijon chardonnay clone 96. An interesting move has been the development of the Euroa Creeks range (Early Harvest Shiraz, Shiraz and Reserve Shiraz), made from contract-grown grapes (a long-term contract) at the northern end of Heathcote. An interesting grafting of the skills of a cool-climate pinot noir grower and maker onto the far bigger wine base of Heathcote shiraz.
