Vitto Oles and Candida Westney run this tiny, cool-climate vineyard situated at the southern end of the Strathbogie Ranges, which in fact falls in the Upper Goulburn region. They have planted 1.6 ha of shiraz and 0.4 ha of viognier, growing the vines with minimal irrigation and preferring organic and biodynamic soil treatments. Vitto is also a fine furniture designer and maker, with a studio at Rocky Passes.

Rocky Passes Estate is a micro vineyard, tiny winery and cellar door that was inspired by the cosy simplicity of the cantinas of Argentina and the chicherias of Peru. It is also the home of Vitto Oles’ furniture-making studio.  Both Rocky Passes’ wine and furniture-making are grounded in the Artisan tradition but embrace new technology where it doesn’t compromise the final result.  Enjoy a lunch platter in the courtyard or inside the tasting room ... or have your special event catered for.
