Owner-winemaker Mario Marson spent many years as the winemaker viticulturist with the late Dr John Middleton at the celebrated Mount Mary. He purchased the Vinea Marson property in 1999, on the eastern slopes of the Mt Camel Range, and in 2000 planted syrah and viognier, plus Italian varieties, sangiovese, nebbiolo and barbera. Since leaving Mount Mary, he has undertaken vintage work at Isole e Olena in Tuscany, worked as winemaker at Jasper Hill vineyard, and as consultant and winemaker for Stefani Estate. Exports to Sweden and China.
