Wineries
When the Haunold Family purchased the original Wills Domain vineyard in 2000, they were adding another chapter to a family history of winemaking stretching back to 1383 in what is now Austria. Remarkable though that may be, more remarkable is that 34-year-old Darren, who lost the use of his legs in an accident in 1989, runs the estate (including part of the pruning) from his wheelchair. Prior to the Haunold’s purchase of the property, the grapes were all sold to local winemakers, but since '01 they have been made for the Wills Domain label, and the vineyard holdings (shiraz, semillon, cabernet sauvignon, sauvignon blanc, chardonnay, merlot, petit verdot, malbec, cabernet franc and viognier) have been expanded. Exports to the UK, the US, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Hong Kong.
