The venture is owned by its five directors, who together have 50 years of experience in the wine industry and in commerce. John Gilbertson ran Ericsson in NZ and then in China between 1983 and ’00. Darren Corradi and Eddy Rossi, in charge of viticulture and winemaking, respectively, both had lengthy careers in various Griffith wineries, also the training ground for production director Frank Colloridi. NZ-born Simon Gilbertson graduated from Lincoln University with a degree in agriculture, and after 13 years in corporate life, purchased three vineyards in Hawke’s Bay, NZ; he is de facto general manager and sales director.
