The Forester Estate business partners are Kevin McKay and Redmond Sweeny. Winemaker Michael Langridge has a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Psychology and a Bachelor of Applied Science (wine science, CSU). As Kevin says, ‘He is the most over-qualified forklift driver in Australia'. They have built and designed a 500-tonne winery, half devoted to contract winemaking, the other half for the Forester label. The estate vineyards are planted to sauvignon blanc, semillon, chardonnay, cabernet sauvignon, shiraz, merlot, petit verdot, malbec and alicante bouschet. Exports to Singapore, China and Japan.
