The growth of Chalk Hill has accelerated after passing from parents John and Diana Harvey to grapegrowing sons Jock and Tom. Both are heavily involved in wine industry affairs in varying capacities (Tom was a participant in the second intake of the Wine Industry Future Leaders Program) and the business has strong links with Greening Australia. (Chalk Hill donates 25c for each bottle sold, the highest per-bottle donation in the Australian wine industry.) Further acquisitions mean the vineyards now span each subregion of McLaren Vale, and have been planted to both the exotic (savagnin, barbera and sangiovese) and the mainstream (shiraz, cabernet sauvignon, grenache, chardonnay and cabernet franc). Exports to all major markets; exports to the US and Canada under the Wits End label.
