Kyneton Ridge Estate has been established by a family team of winemakers, with winemaking roots going back four generations in the case of John and Ann Boucher. Together with Pauline Russell they found what they believe is a perfect pinot noir site near Kyneton, and planted 2.5 ha of pinot noir in 1997; 1.5 ha of chardonnay was added in '02. The crush is supplemented by small parcels of shiraz and cabernet sauvignon from vineyards in the Macedon Ranges and Heathcote regions.
