Kooyong, owned by Giorgio and Dianne Gjergja, released its first wines in 2001. The vineyard is planted to pinot noir, chardonnay and, more recently, pinot gris. Winemaker Sandro Mosele is a graduate of CSU, and has a deservedly high reputation. He also provides contract winemaking services for others. The Kooyong wines are made at Port Phillip Estate, also owned by the Gjergias. Exports to the UK, the US and other major markets.
