2000 Dr Loosen Wehlener Sonnenuhr Kabinett

Full yellow, still tinged with green; it has an improbable mix of silk and honey as it enters the mouth and glides across the tongue; then a change of texture and pace, with a strong slatey/minerally emphasis to the back-palate and finish, signalling the onset of the ‘drying out’ process as the sweetness and primary fruit flavours diminish. If this bottle is typical (i.e. no random oxidation) it has a limited future. Chicken stir-fry with Chinese vegetables was the match.
